The Squirming Coils at Winstons January 20, 2010

Sunday, February 21st, 2010

I played my first gig on January 20, 2010 with The Squirming Coils at Winstons.  It turned out really well.  Our sound check was a free-form jam which turned out to have structure and a lot of depth to it.  You can see some videos of the show on The Squirming Coils Myspace page.  An extraordinary photographer named Anton Orlov showed up at the gig and took the best stop action photos of me I’ve ever seen.  I’ve posted them in my Gallery.

2009 At A Glance

Thursday, December 31st, 2009

I’ve been making some changes that are going to make 2010 a much better year for me.

My fusion band, Blue Marble, is opening for Holdsworth/Bozzio/Levin/Mastelotto on January 13, 2010.  We have been working hard this last year, and this is a great opportunity for us to gain some recognition.  We are planning on writing and producing a full length release in 2010.

I decided to leave DOD and I started looking for other bands to work with.  I began working with a Phish trubute band called The Squirming Coils in December 2009.  I met up with Shawn Hatfield from Tragic November, and there is a possibility that I will be playing drums on Shawn’s project.

Wolftrane is gearing up for some shows in 2010.

Ralph Schatz and me are going to invest some time into getting The San Diego Jazz Collective back to work.
